BECOME A PILOT TRAINEE AT CENTER AIR - THE FUTURE AS A PILOT

It’s challenging to predict the future, but forecasts within and outside European aviation indicate a significant expansion of air traffic. Combined with upcoming large-scale retirements, there will continue to be a substantial need for the hiring of young, qualified pilots. According to projections from Boeing and Airbus, there will be a demand for 500,000 new pilots by 2033. This is such a significant number that, currently, there are not enough training facilities to meet this estimate.

Due to the general financial situation and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been challenging for many to secure financing in recent years. This has resulted in very small graduating classes, causing concern in the industry. The belief is that it won’t be long before we see a normalized aviation environment, and there is a risk of canceled flights due to a shortage of pilots.

The requirement for newly hired pilots fundamentally includes a quality education and, to some extent, additional relevant flying experience. CAPA places great emphasis on doing everything possible to assist newly trained pilots in securing employment. This involves maintaining a good dialogue with a wide range of airlines, allowing us to constantly tailor the education to the industry’s needs for a professional pilot.

CAPA is audited and accredited by SunClass Airlines, SAS/CityJet, Lufthansa Cityline, Norwegian/OSM, Wizz Air, and Air Greenland. Aspirants who meet other employment requirements can apply directly after completing their education at CAPA, even if the general experience requirement for flight hours is not fulfilled. Additionally, many companies accept CAPA pilots directly from the school based on the overall quality education they receive.
